Dr. Dwarika Prasad Uniyal
Vice Chancellor ( i/c), RV University
Dr. Dwarika Prasad Uniyal is a distinguished academic leader and educator currently serving as the Vice Chancellor (i/c) for Executive Education at RV University. With over 25 years of extensive experience in both academia and industry, he has made significant contributions to the field of management education.
Dr. Uniyal’s academic career includes notable positions at several prestigious institutions. He was the former Dean of the FLAME School of Business at FLAME University and has held teaching roles at renowned business schools such as IIM Kashipur, where he also served as the Assistant Dean of Executive Education and led the Dehradun campus. His expertise extends to MICA in Ahmedabad, SPJIMR in Mumbai, and SP Jain School of Global Management in Dubai. Additionally, he was the Founding Assistant Dean of the Jindal Global Business School at O.P. Jindal Global University.
His contributions to public service include a role as a Professor of Management at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie, where he trained civil service officers. Dr. Uniyal has also served on the board of Braithwaite & Co. Ltd., a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, where he played a key role in the revival of the organization.He also serves on the advisory boards of social and commercial enterprises like SDCUK, Project FUEL, Venture Garage, Little Local, Himalaya2Home to name a few.
In addition to his administrative and teaching roles, Dr. Uniyal is an academic entrepreneur involved in the establishment of several institutions, including SP Jain Global in Dubai and Chitkara University in Himachal Pradesh. He is recognized for his scholarly work, particularly his bestselling book “Managing Retailing,” published by Oxford University Press.
Beyond academia, Dr. Uniyal is a published poet with several Hindi poetry collections, including “Ummedon Ke Pankh” and “Mere Aasaan Jhooth,” which reflect his keen observations and emotional depth. His poetry resonates with readers through relatable themes and simple yet profound expressions. Dr. Uniyal’s diverse interests and contributions highlight his multifaceted career and commitment to education and creativity.

He currently serves as an Associate Professor at RV University, where he contributes his vast expertise in instructional design, content development, and institutional building. His background is rich in fields such as life insurance, asset management, knowledge management, and regulatory frameworks, making him a thought leader in management and strategy.
Dr. Banerjee is also an accomplished researcher and author, having published works on topics like disaster insurance, corporate governance and e-commerce taxation. His contributions extend to international journals and book chapters, highlighting his thought leadership in disaster mitigation, insurance regulation and financial market mechanisms.
His work reflects a deep commitment to enhancing educational frameworks and exploring the intersections between finance, risk management and regulation
